Sunni vs Wahabi
The major difference between Sunni and Wahabi is the beliefs and rituals. Sunnis are in majority and almost 90% percent of Muslims around the world belong to Sunni sect whereas the members of Wahabi movement are located in Saudi Arab. There are a few main and major as well as many secondary differences between the Sunni and Wahabi Muslims which caused these sects to be cut off from each other and emerge independently.
The major difference between them is that Wahabis believe that Prophet Muhammad should be praised only as a human being whereas Sunnis show extra special care and respect towards the Prophet of Islam.
Sunni Muslims celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet and arrange Meelaad. Meelaad is a form of gathering in which the Sunni Muslims get together and praise the Holy Prophet. The birthdays of Sufi saints are also celebrated with much dedication and enthusiasm. The day of their deaths are commemorated in the form of Urs. Wahabi Muslims do not believe in celebrating and practicing all these events which are very strongly rooted in Islam. Wahabis call these practices of events as unlawful and wrongful innovations. Wahabis also believe that this is as close as to shirk or polytheism and Sunnis follow the ways of infidel Hindus.
Sunni Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad is Nur and still present in this world. Whereas Wahabis do not believe in using pious individuals as intermediaries when asking Allah as they consider it shirk or polytheism. Sunnis believe in the saints and mysticism whereas Wahabis do not believe in mysticism, intercession and prostration as well. Sunni Muslims visit the tombs of the saints and perform tawassul for the blessings of Allah whereas it is the greatest sin for a Wahabi.
Sunni Muslims believe in four imams of fiqah or Islamic laws such as Hanfi, Hanbli, Malakii and Shaafeyii whereas Wahabi does not follow an Iman in Fiqh. Wahabi Muslims are a group of fundamentalists and have an orthodox version Islam. Wahabis in Saudi Arab do not allow their females to work side by side with their men and they also are not allowed to drive a car. The women are treated as third rate citizens and they are bound to wear a long abayaa or garment to cover them from head to toe. Sunni Muslims are moderate and believe in the equality of women as suggested by Islam.
There are many differences present in their rituals of praying, marriage ceremonies, dresses etc. Wahabi Muslims have separate mosques and schools. Wahabi Muslims are followers of Mohammed ibn Abdul Wahab in the 18th century in Arabia, and his movement came up against a lot of opposition from the Indians Sunni Muslims. Members of the Wahab movement in Saudi Arabia believe their role as a restorer or reformer to free Islam from negative deviances, heresies, innovations, superstitions and idolatries. Wahabis prefer to eliminate music and listening to songs. They are against watching television and drawings of living things which contain a soul.

this man who wrote this essay is deaply troubled, i think he has his information mixed up. anybody who even takes a shred of what he is saying as fact, is deeply misguided. i think he is confusing sunnis as sufis, and mixing up sunnis with wahabis. clearly this man is not educated in the religion og islam. althought i have not read through all the comments, i was shocked to see that the first comment was not one refuting every word in which this man has stated.

These wahabis have maligned the name of Islam which basically means peace by indulging in terrorism and bringing bad name to the greatest religion ever that is ISLAM. Their anti Islam and terrorist activities have also reduced people of other religion converting to ISLAM. All they do is kill innocent people and among them Muslims too. They help the anti Islamic forces in spreading the notion that ISLAM is a violent religion and all Muslims are terrorists alienating the Muslims from the rest of the world. If these Wahabis are not stopped then no one will be a converting to ISLAM anymore. Please count the amount of money your amir, princes and princesses receive per month from the oil and how much of this is spend to dying people in poor Islamic country. If you have could have acted righteously as written in Quran e Karim we would not have had so much of trouble, diseases and problems in Islamic countries and also in the entire world. Because Islam is for everyone even a nonmoslim should receive the benefit of islam. You have a luxurious life enough money so your wife or mother does not have to work but what about a widow who has for orphan children and no source of income? should she work or not. Statistics 50% of the society is made of women if they do not work it is as if you should never use your lefthand at all. The writer of the essay is generous to Wahhabis. Also it implies that 10% of Muslims to be wahhabis which is patently wrong as even ~30% of Saudi population is Shiite. And the survivors in Hejaz from Wahabbi murders in Taif, Makkah, and
Medinah were few still quite a few. WAHHABIS can hardly be 50% of Saudi nationals and as foreigners remain foreigner forever their numbers in Saudia do not matter. The original writer has left a lot to be hoped for, but for a short essay it does give a gist of material. Maybe he could have mentioned that the people of najd killed most of Hejjazis in the process of taking over that area from Turks while England colluded in the process. Space is problematic or this reply needs at least few pages.

There are two issues, Worship Allah (SWT) and follow Mohammed (SAW) with respect, honour, admiration and love, as Allah (SWT) directs through His revelations in the Noble Quran, noted below which may have reference to the topic.
A quote by Imam Abu Hanifah (may Allah be pleased with him) :
A person who talks of religion and does not think that he will have to account for what he says, does not know the meaning of religion and his conscience.
Please do let me know if it were not for the Hadith how would we have known of Mohammed (SAW)’s teachings, lifestyle and practices to follow (let’s take Salaat for example), as Allah (SWT) directs us through the Noble Quran.

In my earlier posting, please take note of the Capital letter used in the word “Worship” which if there is any misunderstanding means only Allah (SWT) is worthy of Worship. The first pillar of Islam is clear, there is none worthy of Worship except Allah (SWT) and Mohammed (SAW) is the final messenger of Allah (SWT). Worship should be further understood as All Praise is due to Allah (SWT) – (Suratul Fatihah, Rabbana lakal hamd,… as we get to confirm in our Salaat each day).
It should further be noted that Mohammed (SAW) is the most beloved in the eyes of Allah (SWT) of His Entire Creation. Hence Mohammed (SAW) is surely deserving and worthy of love and respect from us all. Allah (SWT) has Himself guided us to this effect. I refer to the verses from the Noble Quran for direction for all true and sincere Muslims.
Surah 33
56. Lo! Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. O ye who believe! Ask blessings on him and salute him with a worthy salutation.
57. Lo! those who malign Allah and His messenger, Allah hath cursed them in the world and the Hereafter, and hath prepared for them the doom of the disdained.
58. And those who malign believing men and believing women undeservedly, they bear the guilt of slander and manifest sin.
Please take careful note that Allah (SWT) Himself confirms His showering of blessings on Mohammed (SAW).

As a QURAN ALONE Muslim I feel both deviant sectarian cults of Wahabism or Sunnism (esp Barelvi) are equally misguided and GOD forbid its gullible followers could be heading to hell.
A Muslim is just a muslim (a monotheist) – no sects, but both these groups of people obsess with prophet Mohammed who was no more than a mere mortal in flesh. He was only a human and nothing else. His duty was to only deliver the Quran and nothing else.
“Your ONLY mission (O Muhammad) is to deliver (Quran), while it is we who will call them to account.” 13:40
“You (O Muhammad) have no duty EXCEPT delivering (Quran).” 42:48

*Wahabis: are at fault because they like to follow extra guidance from outside the realms of the Quran. Although they rightfully ban idle traditions, the word of GOD alone is not enough for them, and they commit shirk by following idle nonsense biographies of Mohammed found in the bogus hadiths of Bukhari and co. Islam is the religion of PURE MONOTHEISM. This means that you take no other guidance but the Quran, the pure word of GOD for your rules and prohibitions. Separating and mistreating women is anti-Islamic as they are equal to men. Wahabis like to ban everything from TV’s to Music and live a harsh oppressive miserable life with no enjoyment, creativity or productivity as their minds are so closed obsessing what they think was a mans life from 634AD. Based on the creation of a crazy cult founded by Wahab in the late 18th Century, Wahabism has only managed to spread with the success of petro-Islam. After the Suadis got rich from oil they spent nearly $83Billion worldwide funding the construction of yet another Mosque from Bahrain to Belgium.
Extra man made prohibitions are a sin in Islam:
[5:87] O you who believe, do not prohibit good things that are made lawful by GOD, and do not aggress; GOD dislikes the aggressors.
“Say, “Who prohibited the nice things God has created for His creatures, and the good provisions?” Say,” such provisions are to be enjoyed in THIS life by those who BELIEVE. Moreover, the good provisions will be exclusively theirs on the Day of resurrection.” We thus explain the revelations for people who know.” 7:32 (QURAN)
*Barelvi Sunnis: are equally at fault because although they are not as unnecessarily restrictive as Wahabis, they go a step further to idolise Prophet Mohammed by celebrating his birthday and praying at his tomb etc. Islam is the religion of PURE MONOTHEISM. This means that you only obsess and idolise GOD and no other intercedes between him and you. This is the concept of pure Tawheed. Barelvis are following the slippery slope of Christains who after the 3rd Century idolised Prophet Jesus so much that he levelled up to ‘god status’. Barelvis occupy much of their time and expense delving into idle nonsense traditions, wearing amulets and good luck charms etc. Very superstitious people.

So maybe people should focus more on Prophet Abraham in the spotlight, and then maybe they would realise, following Abraham what the real purpose of a Muslim was meant to be. To worship, idolise, follow and love GOD ALONE – no other.

Let me begin by saying that criticizing one another is wrong and we should abstain ourselves from doing that. We are all muslims and we should share the correct knowledge so we can follow the right path. I am just stating my opinion from what i have studied but i also lack knowledge so please excuse me if i am wrong.
Im a muslim, i pray 4 times a day (sometimes i miss Fajr), read Quran regularly and follow the sunnah as much as i can. I listen to music sometimes and i listen to Quranic recitation but not naats or qawali. I dont do grave worshipping, i dont visit shrines, i dont celebrate the prophet’s birthday and i dont carry charms. Since i have been taught that these things are wrong and i have done my own research. I regard myself as a sunni i.e “one who practices sunnah”.
What i know is that wahhabi is not a sect of islam, it was merely a sort of movement developed by a muslim theologian in the 18th century. I dont know that if they really believe that Allah has a physical form (a body). Most things are made up from ignorant people. I cant say much on this since i haven’t seen a wahhabi. They are strict in their ways and they just strictly follow the teachings of the prophet. Which i think is right. But lot of misconceptions have been created and made up by people resulting in a major confusion. This is another debate and i would like the knowledgeable people to tell me more about this.
What i know is that at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) there was no sect or any division. It all started after the death of the Prophet (PBUH). People divided islam. The Prophet (PBUH) told his people to follow the Quran and his teachings. Allah sent the Prophet (PBUH) as a guidance to teach and preach the true islam. So people who follow the Quran, Sunnah and Hadiths are on the right path.
Muslims are obligated to follow the 5 pillars of islam i.e shahadah, salat, sawm, zakat and hajj. Muslims should believe in the oneness of Allah, believe in His angels, believe in His messengers, believe in Jinn, believe in the Day of Judgement. Without the knowledge of these basic things one cannot call himself/herself a muslim.
Nowadays everybody calls themselves muslims without realizing what forms of worship they are doing. And when one corrects somebody, they are frowned upon and rejected.
This is a vast and complex topic and only people who have sufficient knowledge can talk upon it.
Everybody should read the biography of the Prophet (PBUH) from authentic books so as to learn his ways and practice them in our daily lives.
I would want people to correct me if i am wrong in any way by providing me the correct verses from the Quran and Hadith.
May Allah guide us in the right path, may He save us from shaitan (devil) and may He give us the correct knowledge and wisdom so we can carry this knowledge and teach the right path to our fellow muslims and the upcoming generation. AMEEN
The above mentioned article is absolutely wrong by almost all aspects of the subject. first of all please try to understand Wahaabi’s are not a sect. Mohammad ibnu Abdul Wahaab was a reformer who only retain the unique ideologies of Islam and to show the people how was the real life and the deeds of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). He never established a sect by his name “Wahabism”. In his time there were four Jamaath inside Masjidul Haram in Makkah under four Imaams. Mohammad ibnu Abdul Wahaab done the ‘Unity’ among the Muslims by making one Jamaath under one Imaam. Actually he was a mechanic by repairing all muddy and sightless thoughts and believes of that generation and invite them to the pure and original form of Islam and the deeds of true companions of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).The name Wahaabism spreaded by his enemies themselves. He was a reforemer by holding his generation to the proper way of worship and activities of Islam. He never was a cleric. Very well said brother. This is the actual truth and wahabbism is no movement and neither is salafism a movement. The truth is that people that did not practice innovations and followed the Islam the way the Prophet(pbuh) and the four rightly guided Caliphas did(including onther companions and followers of the companions), those were then titled as salafis by him. When the Ottomon Empire ruled over Saudie Arabia, there was indeed a lot sects that came up and a lot of innovations did take place. As soon as Saudie Arabia eventually for their independence from the Ottomon Empire, they were then looking to get rid of all the innovations in Islam and make sure that the muslims followed the Islam the way the Al-Salaf(The Prophet(pbuh) and his companions) did. The Barelvi/Sufi practices are mainly inspired from the time of when the Ottoman Empire ruled, therefore you will usually hear them saying that the Arabs have taken over and spread their influence. This is because the Ottoman Empire eventually collapsed because of the First World War and Saudie Arabia had their independence and brought back by preaching and spreading their influence the Innovation Free Islam which according to them was the actual way of Al-Salaf. Most Muslims these days are so involved in these little intricacies of their sects that they forget the fundamentals of being a good person. Wahabi’s do consider themselves Sunnis. However, that tale about arabs being involved in Biddah before Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab came along is a lie. I give praise where praise is due and i give criticism where it is due. It is true that it is wrong to worship graves, but those people were not grave-worshipers. They were performing Tawassul, which is a noble tradition in Islam and there is much historical evidence to support this, yet for some reason the Wahabi’s call it biddah.
I definitely don’t think Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahab was a blessing. I think he was an extremist and the Wahabi ideology is responsible for much violence and discrimination. However, like i said before, they do have some positive attributes. They are careful not to praise the prophet excessively and they are adamant against much of the biddah that many Muslims practice.
The person who wrote this article clearly doesn’t know much about Islam at all, and his bias is transparent and should be disregarded. This reads more like an article about the differences between two extremist groups: the extremist Sufi’s and the Wahhabi’s. Both these groups consider themselves subsections of the Sunni sect.
WAHABI’S
THE BAD: Wahabi’s are literalistic interpreters of the Quran and Hadeeth who don’t bother to understand the context of what they read. They are misguided in their belief that there is no need to follow a madhab and that certain elements of some madhab’s are more correct than others. They speak Kufr by saying that certain ayah’s of the Quran have been abrogated and consider Tawassul shirk even though it is a noble aspect of Islam.
THE GOOD: They are however right about celebrating the birthday of the prophet being biddah, and they are right to say that mysticism is nonsense. While i personally believe they are wrong to say that music is inherently haraam, they are definitely right when they say that most music today (especially western music) is haraam. They are also right to say the prophet was just a man; no more, no less. WAHABI’S DO NOT HAVE SEPARATE MOQUE’S.
SUFI’S
THE BAD: Sufi’s (not all but too many these days) are the other extreme. The are excessive in their praise of the prophet and say that he was more than just a human, they argue that he was made of Nur (light) and that his essence is still here on earth. In saying such things they also commit shirk. They celebrate his birthday every year even though the Sahaba’s never did any such thing and the celebration of birthdays is a foreign notion to Islam. They engage in all kinds of crazy dance rituals which can be viewed online (there are a few youtube videos) and believe strongly in learning from their “masters” who they believe have been given supernatural powers by Allah. They wear rings which they believe channel supernatural powers and are a symbol of spirituality. Many of their beliefs are completely unfounded by Islamic texts
THE GOOD: The Sufi’s are great upholders of the righteous tradition of tawassul (asking righteous people, whether dead or alive, to pray for them to Allah). This is the practice of praying through a righteous intermediary, and is NOT to be confused with praying TO the intermediary. Alllah of course hears all prayers whether there is an intermediary or not, but he more respects those who keep good company and hold on to the causes of righteousness (good people) through prayer. A righteous person’s prayer is more powerful than a sinner’s after all. The Sufi’s are also generally a non-violent people and are highly opposed to terrorism.
This is just a very brief and generalized explanation of the differences between these two groups.
The Sunnis have historically considered the Wahhabis (so-called Salafis) kuffaar, especially for the wahhabi hideous distortion of the Qur’an and Hadith, which has led them to think the Creator of the Universe is a giant smiling face object with a shin bone. The wahhabis are mujassimah (corporealists–those who think Allah is a body), and such a belief is rejected by all Muslims.
Like with almost all things in life we shouldn’t make generalized sweeping statements about any people or sect. I think it is true that many Wahabi’s are kuffar but many are not. Personally i think anyone who believes that some verses in the quran abrogate others is engaging in kufr, but whether they are an actual kafir or not is very hard to determine.
Calling another Muslim a kuffar is a very strong statement, one that may lead a person into the fire of hell (Allah swt is the all knowing).
A characteristic of a wise Muslim, one that avoids such statements unless directly conveyed by Allah swt through Muhammad pbuh.
I agree, it is a strong statement, but sometimes the evidence is clear. There are certain wahabi’s that say that some verses of the Quran have been abrogated and no longer apply. I don’t see how that can be interpreted as anything other than kufr.

I viewed your main article about the difference between Sunni vs Wahabis.
In fact, your article is a bundle of contradiction. According to your article Sunnis are the followers of Prophet Muhammad (SAS) and Wahabis are the followers of Mohammed Bin Abdul Wahab.
If the so called sunnis are the followers of Prophet Muhammad, they should first of all understand the most important mission of the Prophet. The most important mission or dawath of the Prophet and his predissors were to inculcate the people about the Belief of Thouheed. Allah sent all the Prophets to invite their people into the Belief of Islamic Monotheism or Tawheed. What is Tawheed ? It is the Belief that Allah is the One Only Creator and there is no partner or helper to Him in creating the universe. This is called Taheedul Ruboobiyyath. Almost all people of all ages including non Muslims like Hindus agree and believe this point. Allah or God or Parameshwaran is the One Who created this universe and He is the One Who controls and sustains all His creatures. Then for what purpose Allah sent His Prophets? Allah sen His Prophets to worship only Allah and none else. Because poeple in all ages used to worship idols represented holy men of their past, angels, prophets and the like. This is against the teachings of the Prophets. You have to know what is worship? Then only you would understand the meaning of Tawheed and Shirk. Worship or Ibada are in different forms.
The “ibadah” is a collective noun that includes every thing that Allah (S.W.T.) loves and accepts from sayings and the physical acts; the hidden (acts by heart) and the openly (acts by limbs). The acts by limbs include the prayer, zakah, fasting, hajj, straight talk, loyalty (returning someone’s possessions to them), kindness with parents, having good accord with relatives, keeping promises and treaties, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, fighting against the kuffar and the hypocrites, kindness with the neighbor, with the orphan, with the poor, with the wayfarer, with the animals, supplication, remembering Allah, reciting Qur’an, and all things of this nature are from “ibadah.”
The acts by heart include the love for Allah and His messenger, fear of Allah, asking Him for forgiveness, Having sincerity to Him alone in deen, being patient, thanking for His blessings, accepting His judgment, depending on Him, hoping for His mercy, fear from His punishment, and all things of this nature are from of ibadah worship.” All this is supported by an abundant number of evidences from the book of Allah (S.W.T.) and the sunnah of His messenger (S.A.W.).
It is understood from the above explanation that if anybody invokes or supplicates to the dead or the living other than Allah for the purpose of his accomplishment of his desires, he believes the person to whom he called for the help can hear his words and can accomplish his desires by some means. While he believes those persons to whom he calls for the help beyond the supernatural means he loves him and honors him and fears him the most. This is against the spirit of Islamic Monotheism.
When you call some ones for the help other than Allah, he belives that the so called dead man can hear his words . If this is the fact forces him to pray or invoke , he actually associate the parntership in the Attribute of Allah. All hearing, All seeing are some of the Attributes of Allah. If so and so person calling Shaikh Jeelani under the belief that Jeelani can hear like Allah hears, he is here making shareek or partner with Allah’s Attribute of All hearing. This is called Shirk. Almost all sunnis who live non Arab countries and Shia who live all over the world are following this type of Shirk. At the same time, this was the same belief of Abu Jahal and Uthbath. They believed in Allah, but they called and supplicated the dead men including Prophet Ibrahim, Ismail, Uzair etc. Our Prophet advised them to call to Allah only, he explained to them all supplications are worship. الدعاء هو العبادة Dua is Ibada. Ibada should be made to Allah only. But unfortunately our sunnis who live in India, Pakistan and other non arab countries make this Dua to different dead men other than Allah. This belief is a total violations of the teachings of All Prophets and this is what Wahabis or Salafs convince the people.
Wahabis they do the sme job of the Prophets. They invite people to invoke to Allah only or to worship Allah only. They are the followers of the Prophet and not the follower of Mohammed Bin Abdul Wahab. Abdul Wahab did this job to his people. When he lived, people were worshipping different deities other than Allah. He recitified their belief under the light of Quran and Sunnah. He was a right leader and those peole who understood from his speeches and writings and rectified their belief according are not to be called the followers of Mohd Bin Abdul Wahab. He never invited his people to follow him, but he invited people to follow Allah and His Messenger . How to obey Prophet Muhammad.
Prophet Muhammad (SAS) never celebrated his birth day. His followers like Aboobacker, Umer, Uthman, Ali and their successor for three hundred years did not celebrate Prophet’s birth day. At the same time they were the accredited community by Allah. If an act done in the name of Islam which has no support and evidence from the Prophet, it is called Bida or innovation in Islam. The so called sunnies are doing this Bida and many other Bida. Wahabis they do not do this Bida , because they fear such kind of innovations will fall at last in the Hell. If birth day celebration of the Prophet is a good thing or a virtuou thing in Islam, that virtuous thing should have done first by the Prophet of Islam, then Aboobacker , Umer, Uthman Ali (R). If they all abstained from doing this innovation, that means no one is allowed to do this. Sunnis are doing all sorts of innovotions in Islam.
Now you should decide who are the ones who are travelling through the right track of Islam.

I do not want to call anyone Kafir. No salafi scholars is calling Sunnis are Kafir.
At the same time, one should listen what they are presenting to the world of Muslims.
You should know the preaches of all Prophets to their respective people and then only you should understand the purpose of Allah sending His Prophets.
All the prophets called their people against their polythistical Belief or what is called شرك. Those people believed in Allah as the Lord of the worlds, but they were worshipping or calling for different helps to the dead holy men. When they worshipped or called the said holy men they believed that those dead men to whem they worshipped could bring them near to Allah. This is the same belief followed by majority of Sunni Muslims in the world. Now, you should know what is shirk and what is thouheed. If you want to know, it is a must to study the Quran with meaning. Then you will find that tens of hundreds of verses in the Quran about shirk.
Categories of Shirk.
1- Shirk in Ruboobeeyah
2- Shirk in al-Asmaa was-Sifaat
3- Shirk in al-Ebaadah.

I read through some of the comments and all I can feel in myself is sadness. We as muslims are fighting with each other over arguments which are nothing but fitna. There is no such thing as Bravlei, Deobandi, Wahabi or Salafi in Islam. If one is a true muslim he will follow the way of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Every one of us should stop for a minute and think and look into ourselves that if we are true muslims. Most of us don’t even pray five times a day and prayer is mandatory in Islam. Out Masjids are empty and suddenly on Juma we can’t find a place to sit inside masjid. So then what are fighting for so should I go to grave or Mazar of person or not. Do you think Allah will be happy that one went to the Grave and did not pray or one did not believe in going to the graves and also did not pray. I personally am not in the favor of any Islamic Gov’t at this time because either they are too corrupt or too liberal or they think instead of providing for muslims and humanity they should waste what Allah gave them on singers, sports or similar activites. I am also not in the favor of people who spread hatred among muslims call other Kaafir. In one of the comment I read that 80% of muslims are Sunni and 20% Wahabi. These are wordly names given to us but as far as I know all Arabs follow Islam of Muhammad and accepts the way four Imams.
A good friend told me that he prayed in the mosque and after the prayer Imam told everyone that he has never prayed behind any other Figh because he thinks they are Kaafir and my friend asked him if he went to Hajj and the Imam replied yes then he asked him how is it possible not pray behind Imam Kaaba in Hajj and the Imam kept quite. Is this what we need to teach our next generations to come.
I pray to Allah that he make unity among us and guide us the way Islam was followed by Prophets and the way Allah has ordered us to follow.

And why should not Allah punish them while they stop (men) from Al-Masjid-al-Haram, and they are not its guardians? None can be its guardian except Al-Muttaqun (the pious – see V.2:2), but most of them know not.
People there is too much generalizing here, we are all Muslims, worshipers of God. It is wrong to say all Whabbi’s believe God has a body, just as it is wrong to say all Shi’as worship Ali, or that Sunni’s celebrate the prophets birthday. There are many Muslims who lost the right path, but that doesn’t mean strictly one sect has lost the path. Look at people as individuals, as Muslims and that possibly belong to a sect. Not sects as a whole.

Aslamoalaikam. With the name of Allah The Almighty. I have almost read all the subject issues and views of different people either sunnies or whabbies. Let us think in different way. In Qurran Allah The Almighty has given various messages to act upon. Allah has given references of previous prophets and their followers. Why The Almighty Allah need to quote these previous references. He is Almighty and can do each and every thing without giving examples is he not(May Allah The Almighty forgive me). Allah has quoted all the goods and bads of the previous religions. Sometimes Allah The Almighty addresses the Holly Prophet(SAW) direct and some time addresses the followers of Prophet(SAW). Some messages Allah The Almighty given through The Prophet(SAW) and some direct to the followers of the Prophet(SAW). It quotes that some messages are direct in between The Allah and the Prophet(SAW) some are between The Allah , The Prophet and he other mankind and some are direct between The Allah and the mankind. The matter under question is that why Allah The Almighty addresses the mankind to follow The way of Prophet(SAW), The Suaba’s and the Saleheen. As they are quoted one afterone similarly we have to follow then one after one. Remember in Sura Fateha Allah (SoT) asks us to seek the way of those (Jin pe Allah ka inam hua and also remember that they are human beings not the Prophets nor the Malaikas. As regards to do Taqleed or not search that from where we got the knowledge of Hadith from persons not direct from the Prophet (SAW) is it not Taqleed. For more assurance read the Islamic History please.

There will be 73 sects in Religion, it is Hadith but Prophet Muhammed never said to make the sects.
There is also Hadith that when prophet Muhammed passed away at the same time H. Umar came infron of gathering and announced than Prophet Muhammed can not die and after few days he will be back and will punish who belives that Prophet Muhammed is passed away and at the same time H. Abu-bakar came forward and recited that ” Muhammed is no more than a Messenger: many were the messengers that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, would you then turn back on your heels?”
it is cleared from glorious Quran that Prophet Muhammed was just a messanger of Allah and many were the messengers that passed away.
Hadith means the practices and words of Prophet Muhammed, Prophet Muhammed never said that after my death you will celebrate my birthday and Prophet Muhammed never celebrated any previous messangers of Allah and nor it was celebrated by any of our 4 cliphas. It is never mentioned in Hadith that H. Abu-bakar, H. Umar, H. Usman and H. Ali celebrated Prophet Muhammed birth day or any other messangers of God and it is no where mentioned that any of the Calipha celebrated other’s Calipha birthday. It is just christian practice, they celebrate H. Isa a.s birth day but our Islam is quiet different from christianity. In Islam to make tombs or any hard structures on the graves are strongly prohibited all knows then why people make tombs and structures on the graves. how they can be claimed to be true muslims although they don’t follow the instructions of Islam. Let me know a single name who ordered to build tombs or any kind of structures once he will pass away.

Since we muslims follow a strict rule of Islam and the true religion that was revealed to our Prophet Mohammed (Salahu-aliahi-wasalam), which doesnot allow dancing and singing…Thats the reason you call them Wahab’s….We say you love Prophet Mohammed (Salahu-aliahi-wasalam) but don’t follow the simple of things that he preached…. You want to celebrate Eid-milad just to dance and have fun…. If you so called Sunnis really loved Prophet Mohammed (Salahu-aliahi-wasalam) you would be following the sunna of our Prophet Mohammed (Salahu-aliahi-wasalam) by fasting on every Monday… which our beloved Prophet Mohammed (Salahu-aliahi-wasalam) did….. Not only one of the year when he was born. Do you fast even on that day…NO…They are busy celebrating…. singing, dancing,…….. and eating….. All the things that are prohibited in ISLAM.

Narrated by Abu ‘Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash’ari:
That he heard the Prophet saying, “From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, ‘Return to us tomorrow.’ Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection.”

And there is nothing called WAHABI in islam. There are only two kind of people believers and disbelivers. Belivers are those who Tawheed, Taqwa and Imaan. If ur doing milad and going to dargah and mazhaar and certainly ur disbelieving ur Imaan is at danger and there is absence of Tawheed (the essence of Islam)

Warning!! People lying about Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w)!!! A letter after a Bayyan; Imam (So & so) As-salaamu’alaikum, I request you to read this letter in the masjid before everyone there. I came to the masjid to learn from the lecture but with greatest regret the sheikh hardly mentioned a Qur’anic verse or a hadith or two and continued talking about his sheikh saying: ” my sheikh said so & so & my sheikh did so & so etc. Isn’t it important to mention Qur’an & Ahadith for we can not guarantee his sheikh’s fate but we’re sure that our Prophet (s.a.w) is indeed Jannati…Furthermore, why did Allah sent His Prophets & Messengers? Answer: To tell people that they should worship Allah Alone and associate no partners with Him but in your masjid, after this Bayyan people were bowing down to this Imam? This Shirk which Allah does Not forgive in fact even prophet Mohammad (s.a.w) was not even given this right for someone to bow down to him then who is this sheikh? This Naqshabandee, Sofi, Darweshee kufr started from a man named ibn Arabi & now it’s been read & praised!?!? (Please note page numbers may vary as different publishers use different styles)
Fazaa’il-E-Aamaal page 561 says that: In our presence there was a Abdul Rahim Shah Rai Puri who writes that “I was that (GOD) hidden Treasure (now I’m out in open) so whatever is in the world is all my Face” Imdad ullah Fiqui Shamaim Imdadya that: “Before visibility; Servant (Man) himself was God and servant indeed is the God that’s now visible” Ashraf Ali Taanwi has written in Imdal Mutaq: “We had a sofi sheikh to whom a servant brought a bowl of sweet & in another bowl filth/dirt, and was told that “O maulana sahb! if both are same thing then let’s see you eat both of them” And says that “our sofi sheikh with the face of pig ate the filth and with the face of mullah ate the sweet and said that “both are same thing” In further page of Fazaail-E-Zikr is written that “Our Abdul Rahim Shah had a servant who would Not go to istanja (toilet ablution) for many days because he could see Light (Allah) in there” (astaghfir ullah these people consider Allah to be even in dirt and in self and in toilets!!) this Kufr and Shirk does Not even exist in Jewish homes but this sort of Shirk you may find in some claiming to be Muslims but in reality ‘the deviant’ homes where they say “Ali in every dam (breath)..These people make humans into Allah not realizing that Allah NEVER EVER forgives Shirk unless one makes sincere repentance whilst living & change…
Fazaail-E- Darud page 133 says: in Urdu poetry “Raha jamal pe tere Hijaabe bashriat, Na jaana kaun he Juz-Satar (meaning “No one knew you were the one man hidden behind Hijaab except God” Here it is clear peom indicates that you came as a man but you were NOT a man but in reality, actually you were the God-Himself & NOT a man” This and many more quotes shames none-Muslims that these people say Allah is everywhere and in everything but they are forgetting the verses of Ayat al-Kursi & Ahadith in Bukhari that ‘Allah is NOT everywhere but He is Above the heavens and the earth on His Throne & He can NOT do everything but he can only do things that keep Him God & NOT like His creation!! In Tazkeraai Ghosya a maulwi has written that “Mohammad (s.a.w) asked Jibril (Gabriel) that where do you bring the revelation from, he replied that “I just stand at Sidtatul Muntaha and bring it from there” he said: “have you ever tried to see who’s giving the revelation? He said: “I never had the guts to check,. So he (jibril) goes up and removes the veil and sees that actually it was Mohammad (Prophet of Allah) on The Throne” (A’udhubillah) One poem of Bolle Shah is (translation) “He (Prophet Mohammad) came as Ahmed but On That Day he will appear as Ahad (GOD) (Na’udhubillah).. have they not read Qur’an Surah Kahf 18:110: “Say (O Mohammad s.a.w.) I am a man like you, it has been revealed to me that your Lord is One God” So Prophet (s.a.w.) was NOT created from light as he’s a human & NOT angel but he was what Allah & His messenger informed us of more importantly he was a man (human being like us) but he was in much better in character and rank but let’s not raise his status so high that it ends up as above: “Shirk” Fazaail-E-Hajj page 223 says: “Pir Junaid Bardawi was doing tawaf of Kabaa and a young girl was also doing tawaf with him, whilst they were doing tawaaf together, the girl asked Pir Junaid: “Junaid, Are you doing tawaf of Allah or tawaaf of house of Allah (Kabba?) he said: “I am doing tawaf of Baitullah” She looked up and said: O’ Allah! what sort of stone heart people are they who do tawaf of stones I am doing Your tawaf!(These people consider Kabba to be Allah and Mohammad (s.a.w) to be Allah and even dirt to be Allah and the toilets to be Allah)..In fact Maulwi Zikriah says: “What is You is Me and what is ME is You” This ‘Aqidah (belief) of Wahdat al-Wujood (becoming one with Allah) is Kurf ‘Aqidah, Shirk ‘Aqidah!! Another fabricated story in Fazaail-E-Darud: “Prophet (s.a.w) came and touched the stomach of dead mother of this individual & she became alive”. In fact Prophet (s.a.w) NEVER EVER touched ANY Non-Mehram woman’s hand in his entire life: “Whoever tells lies about me, let him take his place in Hell.(Bukhari 106, 110 & Muslim 3).A sofi was saying on tv that Jibril (a.s) is Prophet (s.a.w)’s minister, so how comes king die if minister is still alive? Don’t he know the reply of Jibril that: he (jibril) only comes by Allah’s command (not prophet’s) & how many kings die & yet their ministers are still living! Childish!! And why advertise bidd’a like 786? This is kufr!! Kalima is kalima not this stupid 786!!
They leave Qur’an & Ahadith and read (Fazaail Amaal & Baihshti Zaiver) and follow these books and when one reasons with them, they say: “You’re Wahaabi!!” they don’t seem to realize that One of the Names of Allah is Al-Wahaab so by addressing someone with a foul intentions they’re really cursing Allah and making Him Angry. (This term ‘Wahaabi’ they take from a scholar Mohammad Ibn Abdul Wahaab who travelled some countries to stop this sort of kufr and shirk and now they mis-say his name by cursing those who do correct dawat) Haven’t they read Surah Al-Ikhlas that “There is nothing like Him (Allah)”
Furthermore, it’s written there that Prophet (s.a.w) had the knowledge of the unseen (‘ilm-e-Ghaib) if this was so then why did he Not speak to the mother of the believers (Hazrat ‘Aisha r.a.) for so long? he could have said that: “all the allegations are false” Furthermore, A requestee had come to Prophet (s.a.w) asking for some scholars for Dawat and prophet (s.a.w) sent with him a group of Qari’s but it was all a cheat and all of the Qari’s were killed. Page 427 says that: “This ‘ilm-e-ghaib is also (naudhubilalh) with our wali’s and pir’s. It’s written that “Sheikh Abdul Aziz Dabagh knew who was telling the truth and who was lying. If this was so then how Prophet (s.a.w.) did Not know? A Jew had asked a question and Prophet (s.a.w) said that “I will give you answer tomorrow and the revelation stopped, (Prophet (s.a.w) did Not know that he did not say insha’Allah so revelation won’t come?!?!). Fazaa’il -E-Amaal 484 says that: ” Abuyazeed Qurtubi says that whoever says seventy thousand times ‘La ilaha illa Allah he survives from the punishment of Hell, we had a young guy who would get news from heaven & hell (he would get known what is happening in Hell & in the Heaven) {Briefly is that he said that} my mum is going to Hell!!! So Qurtubi says that “within my heart I read seventy thousand times ‘La ilaha illa Allah’ and freed his mum from Hell. So when this knowledge of unseen was to Qurtubi’s lad, how comes Sahaba (r.a.) did Not have it, when a sahabi died and the sahab said “Jannat Mubarak to him,. but Prophet (s.a.w) said that: “you are talking about Jannat, he had taken 2 scarfs from Khaiber’s booty of war, Allah is showing that those 2 scarfs have become Fire and have surrounded him all-in!!” This ‘ilm-e-ghaib is only with Allah Alone and He Only reveals it to His Messengers if/what he wishes. Only Allah has the knowledge of the unseen. Once Tariq Jamil went to a Darga and he said that: “we’re ALL here to worship Allah” People are doing Shirk (grave worship) & he’s saying that is worship of ALLAH!! And he quoted some fabricated stories of dead bodies coming to life etc etc Not realizing that if this was the case then how comes Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w.) did Not make his beloved Sahaba (r.a.) alive!?!? On one occasion he said almost exactly what Tahir Qadri said in his lecture of how Allah called Prophet (s.a.w) unto Himself (the story of Me’raj) and if one reads Qur’an & Ahadith will know that these are NOT the style of speeches of Allah & His Messenger but are fabricated nerrations..On one occasion Taher Qadri purposely mistranslated the hadith of Sahih Muslim where Prophet (s.a.w) said that “Do NOT make my grave as a place of celebration” but Taher Qadri instead said that hadith says that DO make my grave as a place of celebration. These behaviors of making mosque into a mandar (Hindu temple) with Christmas bulb decorations should know the following hadith: “…Prophet (s.a.w) said, “Those people (Kafirs) are such that if a pious man (saint) amongst them died, they build a place of worship over his grave and paint (his) these pictures in it. Those people will be Allah’s worst creatures on the Day of Resurrection. ” (Bukhari 58:213).
Furthermore, This is why so many are reciting fake Darud Sharifs including putting hands on head and kissing eyes after farz salah and reading and expecting a reward from Allah? If clearly there is no hadith to prove this but still want to follow it thinking it’s beneficial then WHY NOT tomorrow we start praying 6 times a day farz namaz instead of 5 times a day? And thus some have left Sunnah and they think they’re following Qur’an then our question to them will be: Where in Qur’an it says how many times and how many prayers a day should we pray? And why did Allah mentioned in Qur’an that: “Whoever obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allah” and another Ayat “Obey Allah AND obey the Messenger”Qur’an Surat al-Al-Ahzaab 33:65: “their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, “(if only) we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger.”
So why do so many imams say that “Imdad Ullah Makhi bought a goat, brought it up in order to have love for the animal first and then slaughtered it…This is NOT the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w) so why do bidd’ah then advertise it? Hadith: Prophet (s.a.w) said; All my Ummah (Muslims) are forgiven except those who advertise their sins. (Sahih Muslim). Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shaf’i, Imam Ahmed & Imam Malik have clearly stated that: “if my fatwa goes against Sahih Hadith then throw away my fatwa on the wall & follow the Sahih Hadith but our molvis (with respect to them but they say) that: “this is the way of Imam so & so” is any Imam better then the Prophet? (na’oodhubillah), Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w) is the Last Prophet & Final Messenger & he (s.a.w) is the Imam ‘Azam & Qa’id-e-‘Azam so why do we give these titles to scholars etc? LET’S FEAR ALLAH & stop saying Qur’an & hadith are only for scholars as prophet (s.a.w) was illiterate & his companions were simple Sheppards & why go for 40 days etc & leave one’s wife at home alone or with non-Mehram? & when we keep repeating in azan Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah twice is a warning that treat him like Allah’s Messenger Not His son or His Noor etc as we Must Not make Shirk like others did with other Prophets. Please buy Qur’an, Bukhari & Muslim..Wa’salaam

Allah (S.W.T) has said before the end of this world there will be 72 sects among Muslims. So, this is doomed to happen, fighting among each other is no point. Instead spreading of Islam to others would be better. “Lakum deenukum valiya deen” = “for you is your Deen and for us is ours”.
dear hibbatullah the full hadith is that The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)said : “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.”

Even Ibn Tay’miah said in his book “Necessity of the Right Path”, p. 266, 5th line from the bottom of that page, published by Dar Al-Hadith, the following:
“As far as what people do during the Milad, either as a rival celebration to that which the Christian do during the time of Christ’s birthday or as an expression of their love and admiration and a sign of praise for the Noble Prophet (Allah’s Grace & Peace be upon Him), Allah Almighty will surely reward them for such Ijtihad”. He then said: “Although Milad was not practiced by (Salaf), they should have done so since there was no objection against it from the Shari’ah point of view”.
And we certainly only celebrate Milad out of love and admiration to the Prophet of all Mankind

Brother no Muslim has a problem with the noble prophet to be Noori or Bashr, it does not increase or decrease the respect or love for him . Im sure u will not love him less if u belive he is Bashr. But people who aggressively say he was not Noori is because it makes us go against the Quranic aya above. Allah should not have said that if he was ok with us to call him Noori.
Anyhow . The real status of the noble prophet is he is the prophet of Allah just as all prophets as Allah does not differenciate between prophet BUT prophet Muahmmad (pbum) is the prophet that comes next to Allah in status 🙂

First let me know where it is mentioned to make tombs or any structures on the graves. I know that people got to these (tombs) but do ulemaa let them, do they give them permission, why do they give them permission, you should go and ask the HANAFI ulemaa about this issue, not to those who don’t possess the right knowledge. If Prophet Mohammed (PBUY) is like all other human being in all respects, how can he see
angel Jibreel (Alaisalam), or how can he get the Wahi from Alla. If he is like any other human being, how he can see what his Moumooms (followers in congregational prayer) are doing on the back side of him. If he is like any other human being, then can you get a message from Allah or can you see Jibreel (Alaihisalam). If the prophet is like any other human being, how can he says to his Sahabas about many things which can happen in this centuries.
Therefore, one can understand that Wahabis are generally against Prophet Mohammed
(Sallallahu Alaihiwassallam) in several matters like treating him as the leader of the Muslims, calling him as Sayyid, Saying Swalath to him, saying he is the Rahmathullil Alameen, etc etc.
However, they are very praise full about their leader Mohammed Abdul Wahad who had given a distorted picture of the beliefs of Muslims which were based on the True Tawhid explained and established by the Sahabas and Caliphs of the prophet which were meticulously collected and codified by the 4 imams of Madhabs.
No Wahabi is interested in following the Madhabs as if the Hadiths which they follows are directly given by the Probhets. One should loudly understands that Islam of the day is based on the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SA) which were communicated to us by the Sahabas,
Thabiis , Thabiu Thabis and which were codified by the Imams of 4 Madhabs.
Without going through the Madhabds, one cannot go into the belief and rituals of Sahabas as practiced by Prophet Mohamed. If any body things, they can find out islamic laws from Holy Quran and Hadits without going through the research work of imams of 4 madhabs,, they are
in fools paradise, as they can only incorporates their targetted rules and views in the name of islamic laws. In short they are giving distorted views of their own for achieving their own vested interests.
Wahabis are extremists in their thought as is evident world over. They are the people of
Bidaath and inserting their own rules to the 10 century old belief and rituals of the Sunni Muslims who are practicing what Sahabas and Caliphs were believed and practiced through the teachings of the last prophet(SA).
Most dangerous aspect of their belief is they think they can kill people who does not follow their belief. History will go to say that Mohammed Abdul Wahab with the support of some rulers in the Arab World including Sauds in Saudi Arabia killed several pious muslims including Ulemas in Arab world only because they did not subscribe to their distorted belief of Islam.
They also looted very old mosques and muslims religious places. They completely destroyed the tombs of hundreds of Sahabas and Imams in Saudi Arabia only because that people pay respects to the Sahabas and Imams by going to their place of burial.
This is a very short explanation. If any body wants to go to detailed history of Wahabis go international sites where several books written by historians not connected with Islam are available about their activities. If a critical study is required that is also possible

Wow this brother has opened up my eyes. 90% of Mulsims are Sunnis when I thought there are plenty of shiites around. And then the birthday of our prophet should be celebrated. I’ve never done that because we know for sure that he passed away on 12 Rabi Al Awwal but not sure about his day of birth since he was born according to Aam Al Feel calendar and not Hijri. I used to think that Allah SWT made it this way so we don’t add rituals and even our Prophet never indicated that. But this brother knows more than them so I think it’s alright for me to celebrate birthday. I’ll get a massive cake on that day and feed it to poor.
Also, I always thought tht Holy Quran was meant to be read and understood but after reading this I’ve realised I could use Quran verses as a charm and stick or hang them around my body.
Finally I have to come to know from this brother that our holy Prophet wasn’t just human even though he mentioned that “Ana basharun mislakum” “I am human like you”. But No our brother has said he was Nur when only Allah is Nur as one of his names indicate. So that means there is no difference between our Prophet and Allah. I could just pray directly to Prophet. But then I think it conflicts with Surat Al Ikhlas. Now I’m confused who to trust.
Our Prophet said in Khutbat Al Wida’a that on that day he completed our religion. Adding anything on top of what he has not mentioned or performed is considered wrong. But I guess our brother author knows best (Not).

Surahe Al-Maidah: 5
‘O people of the Book! Undoubtedly, Our Messenger has come to you who makes clear to you much of that which you had hidden in the Book and pardons much. Undoubtedly, there has come to you from Allah a light and a Book, luminous.
Here light refers to Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) And A book refers to Quraan.
There are other hadiths on the light of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that suffice us from this hadith. More so, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) being light is a reality affirmed by Allah Most High in the Qur’an itself. Allah tells us,
يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيراً مِّمَّا كُنتُمْ تُخْفُونَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَيَعْفُو عَن كَثِيرٍ قَدْ جَاءكُم مِّنَ اللّهِ نُورٌ وَكِتَابٌ مُّبِينٌ [المائدة : 15]
“There has come to you from Allah a light and a manifest book.” [Qur’an, 5.15]
The greatest commentators of the Qur’an have stated that this “light” referred to in the verse is the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). [Tabari, Tafsir, 4.501; Qurtubi, Ahkam al-Qur’an, 6.115; Tafsir al-Jalalayn; and others]
The evidence of this is the famous hadith of Jābir , where it is related that Jābir ibn Abd Allāh t said to the Prophet , “O Messenger of God, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, tell me of the first thing God created before all things.” He said:
O Jābir, the first thing God created was the light of your Prophet from His light, and that light remained[4] in the midst of His Power for as long as He wished, and there was not, at that time, a Tablet or a Pen or a Paradise or a Fire or an angel or a heaven or an earth. And when God wished to create creation, he divided that Light into four parts and from the first made the Pen, from the second the Tablet, from the third the Throne, then He divided the fourth into four parts [and from them created everything else].
(Abd ar-Razzāq (d. 211) narrates it in his Musannaf. Bayhaqi (d. 458) narrates it with a different wording in Dalā’il al-nubūwwa according to Zurqāni in his Sharh al-mawāhib (1:56 of the Matbaa al-amira in Cairo) and Diyārbakri in Tarikh al-khamis (1:20).)
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) Replied:
Allah first created my Noor (Light) of His Noor
This Noor travelled about according to the Will of Allah.
At that time, there was no Heaven, Hell, Lawh (Divine Tablet), Pen, Earth, Skies, Sun, Moon, Jinn or Human Beings.
When He decided to create, He divided that Noor into four parts. From one part He created the Pen, from the second, the Lawh and from the third, he made the Arsh (Throne).
He divided the fourth part into a further four parts.
From one, He created those Angels who carry the Arsh, from the second, the Kursi (Divine Chair) and from the third, He created the Angels.
He again divided the remaining parts into a further four parts.
From one, He created the skies. The second was used in creating the planets. From the third, Heaven and Earth were created.
Once again, He divided the fourth part into a further four parts.
From one part He created the power with which the believers see. From the second, He created in the hearts of the Believers the Noor of Marifat. From the third, He created in the tongues of the Believers, Noor, so that they can read the Kalima of Tauheed.

The Prophet is Bashar, Not created from Light
The Prophet Peace be upon him is a bashar, a human, he is created from the “Nutfah” of his parents Aminah and Abdullah, so he is a Human. The exaggeration of some reached to the extent that they claim that our Prophet peace be upon him is a literal Nur, that is a light in creation!
Sufficient in refuting such claim the saying of Allah in the ayah
{قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم يوحى إلىّ} which means: [Say (o Muhammad) I’m a human being like you, Allah reveals Qur’an to me]. So this Ayah is a clear and explicit proof that the Prophet was a human being (bashar).s
And there is no meaning to “Bashar” or “Human” except that he’s composed from soul, body, flesh with blood. He was a human among the humans, he used to wear clothes, milk his sheep, and serve himself. The Prophet peace be upon him used to sleep on the rough rug and marks of the rug used to show on his side, and he used feel the pain of hunger in his abdomen and he used to pray till his feet swell (but without harm), and he used to do Hujamah (Cupping therapy) that extracts the spoiled blood, and his face was injured in the battle of Uhud, and part of his front teeth broke, and he fell off his horse and his thigh was affected by that, and he remained sick for days in his house patient on the calamities Allah inflicted him with.
And despite this he used to eat, drink, copulate, and get sick. So would a sane person ever doubt whether all this happens to a human being that has a body, flesh and blood or not? And would anyone with a sound mind claim that the Prophet was created form light? no.
Allah exists without a place. He created all the creations. And the first creation was water.
As for the fabricated Hadith Jabir that says: <>
This means: <> This hadith has no foundation and is a fabrication about the Prophet. Scholars of Hadith classified it as fabricated hadith, as al-Hafidh as-Suyutiy, al-Muhaddith al-Harariy and al-Ghummariy of our times and many others confirmed, because Allah is not a light, he created the light, and because the Prophet is human being born from his parents.
As for the hadith talking about the Prophet being before the creation of Adam, it does not state that our Prophet existed before Adam, rather it talks about the Prophet being KNOWN before he was created amongst the angels before he was even created, and that’s how Prophet Adam made his repentance by saying: “O Allah I ask you by the virtue (Bihaqqi) Muhammad that you forgive me” and Allah (Who has the knowledge about everything) told Adam which means “how did you know about him when I did not create him yet”? Adam said: “Because I read his name adjacent to Your name on one of the Pillars of the throne, so I knew he’s the most beloved to you” and so Allah said to Adam which means: “you said the truth o Adam, if it wasn’t for Muhammad, I would not have created you”.
So Prophet Muhammad was known amongst the angels before Allah created him, but He was not the first creation, and he was not created from light as some wrongly deluded.
There are many proofs to that, among them the Ayah: {قل إنما أنا بشر مثلكم يوحى إلىّ} which means: [Say (o Muhammad) I’m a human being like you, Allah reveals Qur’an to me]. So this Ayah is a clear and explicit proof that the Prophet was a human being (bashar).
Also the hadith Al-Bukhariyy, al-Bayhaqiyy and Ibn alJarud related that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, said which means: “Allah existed eternally and there was nothing, and Allah created the ^Arsh on the Water” This hadith proves that Allah was alone in al-‘azal, (the status of existence without a beginning,) i.e., before creating any of the creation. There was nothing with Him: no place, no space, no sky, no light, and no darkness, and that water was the first creation.
As-Suddiyy narrated from many routes in the explanation of Fath Al-Bari the saying of the Prophet:
“إن الله لم يخلق شيئا مما خلق قبل الماء”
Which means: <> And Allah mentioned in al-Qur’an that water is the first creation, and that our Prophet is a bashar like us, and bashar only means human with blood and flesh and not light.
Allah exists without a place, He created everything, and the first creation was water, and from water he created everything else. Allah created the angels from light, the devil from flames, and humans from clay. The Devil was created before Prophet Adam, being created first does not indicate having a higher rank.
Our Prophet is the best of mankind, and the best of the creations, he knows only what Allah conveys to him and not everything that Allah knows as some claim. Imam Ahmad narrated (in his Musnad), al-Bayhaqiyy (in Ad-Dala’il), al-Hakim (in his Mustadrak), and others from the route of al-^Irbad Ibn Sariyah, the Companion of the Prophet, that he said: “I have heard the Prophet say:

This means: <> When the Prophet’s mother delivered him she saw a light that illuminated the palaces of the countries of ash-Sham.” Al-Bayhaqiyy commented that Prophet Muhammad was predestined as the slave of Allah and the last of the prophets before Adam was created as the father of humans and the first of the prophets.
This the creed of all Ahlus-Sunnah, we ask Allah to keep us steadfast on it ameen.

You have based your argument on ONE fabricated Hadith however Quran and strong Ahadith conflict with it. Keep your emotions to yourself. You don’t have to follow what you’ve been taught by your local Imam nor follow how your parents. You have to use your head and brain, think deep and make your own judgements. I never knew about Wahabis even though I am one. I have travelled among many Arab countries and I never felt differences until I visited Pakistan and India. Here I have seen extremely emotional and confused people who prefer to listen to local Imams rather than educate themselves on Quran with solid translation and Ahadeth. Oh wait, one Paki told me a Hadith of Bukhari that Umar (RA) put a fire at the doorstep of Fatima (RA). Later I realised he was shi’a.

Prophet Muhammad SAWS never celebrated his birthday nor anyone elses day of birth. As another poster mentioned, people in Pakistan need an excuse to celebrate the day of any Sufi. I have witnessed the celebration of some Lal Qalandar. May Allah protect me from such rituals.

I’m a Sunni but I don’t favor any sunni or wahabi as I don’t have enough knowledge about it. I just pray to God to show me the right path “IHIDI NASSWIRATUL MUSTAQEEM”. If Sunnis are on the right path it’s O.K but if wahabis are on the right path I would be a wahabi. All favors about their own & also provides many logic to prove themselves right. Tell me how should I know who is on the right way?

as far as Noor is concerned. just go read the Tashud’s(Second Kalim’ah Translation)..and u’ll find in that ,it Describes that Allah is the God ,who is only the one and Muhammad(s.a.w.w) is his man..that.s it…

this is wrong, if you say that you could pray to the Prophet (SAW), and it would be the same as praying to Allah, this is very wrong. this is Shrik, because you are comparing the Prophet to Allah. this is the biggest sin ever, also hanging charms, is very bad, because you will believe that they will bring you good luck, but only Allah can bring you good or bad luck. you just said that you are confused because of what it says in Surah IKLAAS, but that it is in the Quran, so why should you be confused, if the Quran teaches ius everything we need to know. you are getting confused between a person and the Quran. that is wrong. believe in what the Quran says. also the Prophet was a Muslim, which means 1 who submits the will entirely to do the will of Allah, so how can you say that the Prophet is a Nur (light) because Allah is Nur so your saying they are the same ,but Muslim means the opposite. also Islam means submission and obedience so if the Prophet was spreading the word of Islam, why would you consider the Prophet (SAW) the same as Allah
Show me one Ayath or Hadeth Al Nabbawi where it has been mentioned that our Prophet SAW was made of Allah’s Noor. I don’t want your concluded meanings or your own interpretation of holy words but I’m asking for clear exact words.
Every Nabi had special powers and Nabis were meant to be different than humans. They had wahi from Allah SWAT however it does not mean nor mentioned that they were made out of Aallah’s Noor. Otherwise that would look like they were sons of Aallah. Which you keep insisting on.
And let me clear this; people in Saudia do not claim themselves as followers of Abdul Wahab but Imam Hanbali. I have great respect for Sheikh Abdul Wahab for he cleared the masajids in Harram Makkah and appointed one Imam to lead Sala’th. And flattened all the graves of Sahaba RA as people used to worship there. Just imagine if Allah had given this duty of care of masjid Al Harram to you people. I shiver when I think of that. I would have witnessed juloos, music and covering graves with silk sheets and rose petals. But AlhamdulilAllah I witness no Bida’a in Saudia. Every masjid performs Salath following clear and solid principles of Imam Hanbali, I do not see 73 groups of Islam as I’ve seen in Pakistan and we reject anything that has not been mentioned in Quran and Ahadeth. It obviously doesn’t settle well with people like you because we do boy accept taweez, Uras and so on.

“O Muhammad, We have not granted immortality to any human before you: so if you are to die, will these unbelievers live forever? Every soul is bound to have the taste of death. We are putting all of you to a test by passing you through bad and good conditions, and finally you shall return to Us.(Surat Al-Anbiyaa 21:34-35)

The question of him being alive was settled BY the Greatest of KHALIFA Abu Bark ra, he said (when Umar ra and others were shocked by the news of Prophet saw )
“O people, verily whoever worshipped Muhammad, behold! Muhammad is indeed dead. But whoever worships God, behold! God is alive and will never die.”
And then he concluded with a verse from the Qur’an:
“And Muhammad is but a Messenger. Many Messengers have gone before him; if then he dies or is killed, will you turn back upon your heels?” [3:144]

first of all, this article is just rubbish, it is obviusly just one ignorant man´s words. For the second, give me one proof of where the shabas or the prophet himself celebrated his birthday. It is known that the prophet (saw) told a jew that the reason why he fasted on mondays is because it was the day he was born, but why dont we fast than instead doing bidaa things at his birthday??

It was narrated from Abu Qataadah al-Ansaari that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on Mondays. He said: “On that day I was born, and on it the Revelation came to me.” Narrated by Muslim, 1162.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747
so we see that Birthday was not the sole case here
Moreover, we know that the Sahaabah (may Allaah be pleased with them) were the people who loved the Prophet most. Was it reported that Abu Bakr, who was the closest of people to him and the one who loved him the most, celebrated the birthday of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? Was it reported that ‘Umar, who ruled for twelve years, or ‘Uthmaan, did this? Was it reported that ‘Ali, his relative and foster son, did this? Was it reported that any of the Sahaabah did this? No, by Allaah! Is it because they were not aware of its importance, or did they not truly love the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)? No one would say such a thing except one who has gone astray and is leading others astray.
So are we to say we are aware of things that the great sahabas the cream of the Ummah didnt know of?

I have many neighbors who are shafi madhab followers and they are repugnant of this idea of charms grave worship and sufism. We take it as an insult to be labeled as such.
