HTC Incredible S vs Apple iPhone 4

The Incredibe S is a mid-end phone from HTC that matches up quite nicely to Apple’s iPhone 4. Many of its components are even superior to that of the iPhone 4. To start with, the screen of the Incredible S is bigger than the screen of the iPhone 4. Measuring 4 inches, to the iPhone 4’s 3.5 inches, it provides more space for viewing videos and browsing the Internet. The iPhone 4 does have a slight edge in resolution, but the difference is much less significant than the size difference, and most people probably won’t even notice it.

When it comes to the cameras, the ones in the Incredible S have the better specs. Its main camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels to the iPhone 4’s 5 megapixels. And the secondary cameras have resolutions of 1.3megapixels and 0.3 megapixels respectively. You probably won’t notice much of a difference with your photos and videos, though, as the iPhone 4 camera takes extremely nice pictures. Maximum video resolution is the same for both at 720p.

A feature that the iPhone 4 doesn’t have is the FM radio receiver. The receiver allows the Incredible S to receive FM stations in the area. This is very useful if you have a local station that you like listening to as the Incredible S can easily replace a portable radio.

When it comes to the software running on the phones, they are quite different. The iPhone 4 has iOS while the Incredible S has Android. At this point, it would be incorrect to say that one is better than the other as they have both reached a level of refinement and popularity, and you would probably find equivalent apps on either platform. However, if you have many Apple products like the iPod, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, then the iPhone 4 and its iOS would give you better integration with those other products. For the Incredible S and Android, you get a more consistent experience across many mobile phone models and brands. So if you decide to replace the Incredible S with another Android phone, you would already be familiar with the interface.
