Difference Between Samsung H1 and Samsung M1

Samsung H1 vs Samsung M1

The Samsung H1 and M1 are the first two phones that Vodafone has released running the 360 platform. The H1 is the first of the two and is significantly pricier than the M1, which was released with lower specs as a budget smartphone to make entry into the 360 platform much easier. Since the M1 is the cheaper version, it is also equipped with a smaller screen than the H1. That of the M1 only measures 3.2 inches compared to the 3.5 inch screen of the H1.

Aside from the screen, the difference in price is also reflected in the storage capacity of both devices. The M1 comes with a meager 1GB of internal memory while the H1 has 16GB of internal memory. Both units have microSD card slots though, so there is always room for you to expand when you want to.

Samsung has also decided to drop the Wi-Fi transmitter in the M1. Those who need to constantly access the Internet are left with no other option but to use the HSDPA radio and access the Internet via the mobile network. This can be a pricey prospect for those who do not have unlimited data plans. Or you can just switch to the H1, which has an 802.11b/g wireless transmitter.

Finally, the camera of the H1 is much better than that of the M1. This is already apparent from the resolution as the H1 has a 5 megapixel camera while the M1 has a 3.2 megapixel camera. Photos taken with the H1 would have more detail than those taken with the M1. This also extends to video recording as the H1 is capable of recording HD quality video with a resolution of 720p at 30fps. The M1 can only record VGA (640×480) quality video at an even lower 15fps.

Both handsets have been plagued with user reports of sluggish performance; more so with the H1 than the M1. Hopefully, Samsung can release an update to their OS in order to make it perform better than it already is.

Summary:

1. The H1 is more expensive than the M1

2. The H1 has a bigger screen than the M1

3. The H1 is equipped with a lot more internal memory than the M1

4. The H1 comes with Wi-Fi while the M1 does not

5. The H1 camera is much better compared to the M1 camera
