Nowadays, depending on your location and what’s popular in your area, there are a good number of social networking sites that you can join. Two of the most popular are Facebook and Bebo. Although it is not as popular as Facebook, Bebo is one of the top sites in Ireland. According to a survey released by Computing Which?, more users find Bebo to be a better social networking site when it comes to setting privacy features with your account.

Now that you already have an idea about the background of each social networking site, how does one measure up against the other? Perhaps the most difficult part of using Facebook, is the way that you must set privacy settings to your account ‘“ something at which Bebo has become a master. Some of the features included with Bebo are Bebo Music, Bebo Authors, Bebo Groups, Bebo Mobile and the Bebo Open Media Platform. Meanwhile, Facebook is not lagging behind, because it has a multitude of features, applications, NewsFeeds, and the ability to import entries from different blogging platforms.

If you are only in the process of creating an account, you will probably be better off trying both platforms, and then deciding which one you like better, once you have finished your ‘test drive’ of both Facebook and Bebo.
