Difference Between Prince William and Prince Harry

 

Prince William (full name: William Arthur Philip Louis, Duke of Cambridge) – the eldest son of the Prince of Wales, Charles and his first wife, Princess Diana, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. He occupies the second place in the line of succession to the British throne after his father.

Educational background:

Secondary school: From 1990 to 1995, the Prince attended the Ludgrove school in Berkshire. At school, he was the captain of a hockey team and a rugby team. He was fond of swimming, soccer and basketball as well. He represented his school several times in marathons running across rough terrain.

College: After school, William entered the famous Eton College, where he studied geography, biology and art history. Prince was always a diligent student and received good grades both in profile subjects and in education. In addition, he easily found a common language with peers thanks to his sociability, modesty and absolute absence of arrogance.

University: After school, Prince William chose his future path: he decided to enter the most prestigious St. Andrews University in Scotland, and soon became a student. The diploma thesis of the Prince in 2005 was devoted to coral reefs. He graduated with very good results. After graduation, he represented the UK in New Zealand, in the cities of Wellington and Oakland at the celebrations dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.

Military service: In May 2006 Prince William entered the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy. He received an officer’s rank in December 2006 and joined the Royal Cavalry as Second Lieutenant. In this respect, his career does not differ from the career of his ancestors in the male line, beginning with Henry V. In 2009, after finishing the Flight School in Cranwell he was transferred to the Royal Air Force and promoted to the rank of captain (Flight Lieutenant).

Family: On November 16, 2010 Clarence House announced the engagement of Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton. The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was held on April 29, 2011 at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Church in Westminster Abbey.

Children: Son – George Alexander Louis was born on July 22, 2013

Daughter – Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2, 2015

On September 4, 2017 Kensington Palace reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in anticipation of their third child, who will be born in the spring of 2018 (The Telegraph, 2017).

Prince Harry (full name: Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-Windsor) the youngest son of the Prince of Wales, Charles and his first wife, Princess Diana, grandson of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. Since early childhood, he has been known under the family name – Harry, which is used even in official sources. Currently, he is the fifth palce in the line of succession to the British throne.

Secondary school: In September 1987, he went to Wetherby’s school in London. In 1992 he joined Prince William and became a pupil of the Ludgrove school in Berkshire, where he studied for the next five years.

At the age of 17, the British mass media described him as a “wild child”, as a result of the use of marijuana and alcohol (Reuters, 2008).

College: In September 1998, he entered the Eton College. He graduated in June 2003 with a negative assessment of geography (BBC, 2005).

Military service: In 2006 he was admitted to the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, where he successfully completed a 44-week training course. As a second lieutenant he was enrolled in the Blues and Royals Regiment of the Palace Cavalry.

At the end of April 2007 it was announced that the prince would be sent to serve in Iraq, but in May it was decided to send the prince to Afghanistan. In December 2007 – February 2008, he served in Helmand province as an aircraft gunner.
