    French have round shape breads also, italians have lond shape with rounded ends also

    for breakfast only?? Brioche is not a bread as bread is used to be eaten with something else, brioche is eaten alone.

    Breads are served as a starter????? ? Bread is used all along the meal, you have breas for meat, cheese, salad… Butter with bread is not something all french do, maybe normandy and Britany, parts of the country do not even eat butter but olive oil!!!

    Bread with pasta??? if you have pasta you don’t eat bread!!! it is carbo hydrate, you mix 2 carbo hydrate.

    • I went to a nice restaurant and they served us oil with our “bread” instead of butter. My sister always bought a special olive oil to serve with homemade bread as well. It’s tasty and light with oil, in my opinion. I got here because I was searching for the difference in the two breads, but I was basically looking to see if there was different ingredients between the two. I guess not. I think the article is funny when it refers to electric ovens as a difference between the two breads. HAA!

  3. That’s not true. There are several kind of French breadS, with different shapes and tastes. This article takes only one of them and generalize.
