HTC Droid Incredible 2 vs Incredible S

With HTC releasing the Droid Incredible 2 and Incredible S a mere three months apart, it is reasonable for people to ask how they differ from each other as they both pretty much the same. The main difference between Droid Incredible 2 and Incredible S is the cellular radios that they have. The Incredible S is a GSM phone that works in most parts of the world but not with CDMA networks like those used by Verizon and other companies. On the other hand, the Droid Incredible 2 is primarily a CDMA phone but adds a compromise that would please world travellers. The Incredible 2 also incorporates a GSM radio that can be used to connect to GSM cellular networks.

This is the most common complaint people who travel outside the country have with CDMA networks. Since the radio transceivers on their phone would not work with GSM networks, they cannot enjoy roaming and have to get a separate phone. The 4 inch screen is quite large and should serve very well in watching videos as well as browsing the internet. The 8 megapixel cameras are also above average compared to the rest of the field that typically sport 5 megapixel snappers. Video recording is also passable at 720p. Lastly, the OS of the Incredible 2 and Incredible S is Froyo but it can be upgraded to the latest version for smartphones, which is called Gingerbread.
