The Canon Rebel T3i and the Rebel SL1 are both very competitive models from the photography giant Canon. Both of these models offer great features bringing on a very tough competition between the two. The Canon Rebel T3i wins over the Canon Rebel SL1 on a variety of aspects including the number of megapixels. It comes with 18.7 megapixels which is slightly higher than the 18.5 megapixels of the Canon Rebel SL1.  

The Canon Rebel T3i packs a very stronger battery than the SL1. The battery in the T3i is nearly 28% more powerful compared to that in the Rebel SL1. It also has a better image quality. The color depth in Canon Rebel T3i is excellent and a little better than the Canon Rebel SL1. The dynamic range is also wider than the SL1. The T3i model comes with a higher number of cross type focus points than the SL1 and is also a little bigger in volume compared to the latter.

The Rebel SL1 is a gorgeous model from Canon. It features a lower noise at high ISO levels. The startup delay is 0.1 seconds only compared to the 0.4 seconds startup delay in the Rebel T3i. There is a little less shutter lag in this model. The maximum light sensitivity level is significantly higher. A notable feature of the Rebel SL1 is that it comes with a touch screen display, which is not found in the Rebel T3i. The weight of the Rebel SL1 is 163g lighter than the Rebel T3i.

The SL1 features a built-in HDR mode and the body volume is also very compact than the T3i model. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack socket and shoots faster at the highest resolution than the Canon Rebel T3i. The form factor is smaller than the T3i model and this camera is also thinner, narrower and shorter than the Canon Rebel T3i.
