There is a built-in focus motor which is responsible for the autofocus. This motor is not featured in the Canon EOS 100D. The shooting at the highest resolution is almost 1.5 times faster with Auto Focus mode in the Nikon D7100 than the Canon Rebel SL 1. To wrap it up, the Nikon D7100 is a clear winner when compared to the Canon EOS 100D!
