WOW and Warcraft are the most widely played video games in the world. However, among the two, the most played game is WOW or World of Warcraft. Blizzard Entertainment has designed both WOW and Warcraft, but, actually, WOW is only the latest version in the Warcraft series.
Warcraft has only certain online components, but this video game is largely designed for playing offline. This video game can be bought from the video shops for a one-time fee. On the other hand, there is no offline option with WOW. The World of Warcraft game cannot be played without a subscription with Blizzard Entertainment. You can either buy the game using a credit card or buy prepaid game cards.
Warcraft comes in four main categories, such as; Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and WOW. Apart from WOW, all three versions of the game come in a real-time strategy genre. In these three games, the players direct the virtual armies against each other or against a computer-controlled enemy. Unlike these three series, WOW is a multi-player online role-playing game.
While Warcraft: Orcs and Humans comes with no expansion, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness, and Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos have one expansion each. On the other hand, WOW has made multiple expansions and has now introduced World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.
When comparing the popularity of the two games, World of Warcraft is more popular with more than 12 million subscriptions. Moreover, this video game holds the Guinness World record of the most popular multi-player online role-playing game.

Thanks for explaining this in such a simple manner. I’ve been gamer my whole life but when I find a game I like I stick to it. Runescape from ages 7 to 17 and Dota 2 up until now (I’ll be 23 soon).
This was something I should’ve known but WOW never got introduced to me, and I’m kinda glad it didn’t because the new Vanilla server looks amazing.
