North vs South India
India is a vast country and the most populous democracy in the world. The country can be divided into five regions ‘“ Northern, Southern, Eastern, Western and Central. India is a multilingual, multi-ethnic and pluralistic society, where one can come across a big difference between each region.

Here, let us discuss some of the differences between North and South India. Both the regions have geographical, cultural, racial and political differences.
North India lies in the Indo-Gangetic plain. Towards the North is the Himalayas, which separates the country from Central Asia. The Vindhya ranges separates the North from the South. South India is situated in the Peninsular Deccan Plateau. This region has the Arabian Sea in the west, Bay of Bengal in the east and Indian Ocean in the south.
When talking about the racial differences, the North Indians are termed as Aryans and the South Indians as Dravidians. In physique as well, there are many differences between the people of the South and North. The North Indians are taller, and more strongly built than the South Indians. The South Indians are a bit darker than the North Indians.
A big difference can be seen in their dressing styles. Salwar Kamiz is the widely used dress by North Indian women. On the other hand, women in the South wear saris. While men in the North wear Salwar, the men in South prefer dhotis.
Another difference that can be seen between North and South India is their food. When compared to the North Indian food, the South Indian food is spicier. The South Indians use more tamarind and coconut when compared to North Indians. The North Indians use more milk products when compared to the people of South India.

When talking about the culture, there is a vast difference between North and South India. One can come across differences in their music (Northern Hindustani and Southern Carnatic), dance forms and folks.

The reason why we (indians) put ourselves in regions, is because it’s just only that we have extremely big differences then each other region. It does irk me though that those regions just kinda hate the other regions. So far I’ve seen only few other people from different regions that actually accept the other regions.

Lmao, there is no racial difference between South Indians and North Indians both look Indian.Nor there was any Aryan invasion.Language difference isn’t racial difference.It was just a scientific racism created by British just on the basis of linguistics and seeing some of the peoples, communities in North India who look European and some South Indian tribals and communities who look African.It is now debunked.All Indians whether South or North are descendants of harrapan/indus valley civilization people.

Ereena, the poster muwanika proves your observation. Most there in southern India are polytheist accepting many gods but not accepting many peoples. With political correctness, which is inherently incorrect via its politics, people of color or in this case a greater degree of color, are taught to hate their neighbors with a self righteousness that only a corrupt political ideology could teach them. It has happened on both sides, but only the contemporary politically correct consider this intolerance a virtue.

More spice and melanin is not the reason why we hate North. And yeah why isn’t it mentioned that Kerala, the most literate state in the nation is from South India? And biggest actresses in Bollywood such as Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Sri Devi are all from South. Idlis are considered one of the healthiest foods too.
This doesn’t mean that North India is any lesser to South India my dear friend-but don’t please bring up the melanin or the spice bullshit-because we are proud of it. And having melanin does not instill a sense of insecurity within us -we are proud of it. And stop the empty generalizations.

Actually,it’s the other way. South Indians are more respected around the world. Those Indian doctors you see in US most probably be a south Indian. And Oh almost forgot to say,current Google and Microsoft CEO are south Indians. Some are in NASA too

Though you people argue about south and north you are united by many things but definitely not the ones that you have studied in your history book or those in the school prayer. We are actually united by certain common things. We don’t care about our neighborhood,we never worried about the people who are hungry while we are eating,we never shared our resources with the unknown but I’m sure he’ll be a human,we never cared about the mentally disturbed person living in our village for years,we never cared about the railways giving tickets even after the general compartments are filled,we never cared about the village libraries,we never cared about the public toilets,we never cared about giving things in tender system even food & never cared about its quality,we are united in blaming others,we are united in adjusting things when you have nothing.well that’s positive I suppose.we don’t care about our careless. All we need is pleasure of saying that my community was the best . It was the ancient. I ask the people with common sense the Earth is basically an object for human being I such a case how can person argue for a thing which does not actually belongs to him. It will funny, Isn’t it? No North indian or south Indian invaded the place . Lives go from one place to another in search of something they need and make its habitat. That is the only satisfying law of nature.
