Boxing is a sport, just like any other, which dates back to the ancient Middle East, and has largely evolved. Many championships have been played all over the world, with many boxing legends such as Muhammad Ali, Manny Pacquiao, Georges Carpentier and Joe Frazier having participated in professional boxing. 

 

Who is Muhammad Ali?

Born on 17th January 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky, Muhammad started boxing at the tender age of 12 years, and by the age of 18, he had won the light heavyweight gold medal championship. He is known for being one of the best heavyweight boxers, hence is commonly referred to as the greatest heavy boxer of all time. In his life, he played 61 total fights, with 56 wins. Of those wins, 37 were by KO. He only lost a total of 5 matches. Muhammad died in 2016 at the age of 74. 

 

Who is Joe Frazier?

Born on 12th January 1944, in Beaufort, South Carolina, Joe Frazier was an award-winning boxing champion in the heavyweight category. In his professional boxing career, he played a total of 37 fights with 32 wins. Of the 32 wins, 27 were by KO. He had 4 losses and 1 draw. He died on 7th November 2011 at the age of 67.
