Very curious as to where the writer of this got their information.

First, crystal has always been the street name for methamphetamine, NOT mephedrone. Mephedrone was known as drone, M-CAT, White Magic, and the media would sometimes call it “meow meow,” but really that was just clueless adults looking for a shock headline.

Second, mephedrone has never been an actual medication that’s ever been prescribed by a doctor under ANY circumstance. Again, you’re thinking of methamphetamine, which still IS prescribed for super severe narcolepsy, although VERY rarely and with intense monitoring.

Third, the last sentence of the first paragraph is just pure nonsense. — “It can all be rooted to the several drug forms of mephedrone like the crystal mephedrone and crystal mephedrone.” — First of all, you just said the same thing twice. Second of all, NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED IT CRYSTAL MEPHEDRONE IN THE HISTORY OF ITS AVAILABILITY!

I’m usually not one to take the time to critique these things online. I usually enjoy them, even if some are innacurate. But here, we’re talking about two drugs that have been heavily abused and addictive and known to cause neurological and/or physical damage, or kill people by overdose. Even one small inaccurate fact about a drug like this can mean life or death in someone who was looking for information on a drug before using it. Not that this article has any dosage information like that, but it is very severely inaccurate information nonetheless.
