So can you say, so as to clarify your description here, that New Delhi is a city in the state of Delhi? And that ND sits next to and actually intertwines with an older city called Delhi? Which is also in the state of Delhi? And that there are no maps showing the boundaries between the cities of New Delhi and Delhi? So how do they collect property tax?

A little bit of clarification here :

#3 – It’s not difficult to draw a boundary on New Delhi in fact you will find places where it says ‘Welcome to NDMC area’ which means you’ve entered New Delhi and similarly when you exit there are signboards.
#4 – Delhi is not YET a state, it has a special status as NCT which stands for National Capital Territory but definitely not a state. Also, the governor is not head of government, the chief minister is just like Prime Minister is head of Indian Govt. not the President.

Another important point, New Delhi is completely within the NCT of Delhi and not outside it. It, in fact, is one of the districts of Delhi.

Please correct all these information else it misguides people.

This article made me more confused… it implies New Dehli is in Dehli but then talks about differences in architecture and borders etc… awful
