There is a correction needed where it reads “Rayon is a manufactured fiber which is neither natural nor artificial.”
Rayon is a regenerated fiber which is neither natural nor synthetic.

The term ‘artificial’ is used when a man made substance is purposely designed to imitate a natural product.
Where as ‘synthetic’ is also a man made substance/ product, it has its own intrinsic characteristics and does not imitate or attempt to copy the characteristics of a natural substance.

Thank you for this very helpful information and description of Viscose Rayon. The description was thorough and easily understood. Overall my questions were answered. My only remaining issue stems from a single sentence. Viscose Rayon yellows and forms small balls in rough treated areas. This comment caused me to wonder if these are very common and extensive problems with items covered or made from this fabric. Also if there is an issue with discoloration with any other colors or if the problem occurs only if the Viscose Rayon is white? Thank you.
