This article should not even be posted. It is extremely incomplete and poorly written.

The article seems to place the comparison in terms of business usage. If this was indeed the case, you would be using Microsoft Outlook to connect to a Microsoft Exchange server, which is NOT mentioned even once in this article!

There is no evidence cited for your claims about speed/performance for each application. Also, Outlook emails can be encrypted.

Don’t even get me started on this… paragraph (I don’t even know what one can call this abomination of writing): “Lotus Notes is expensive when the subject of cost and maintenance is brought to mind. In order for one to use the Lotus Notes it is appropriate to note that you have to purchase the Lotus application to host your mails, which is quite the opposite when it comes to Outlook that comes in free though you might need to have already installed some little applications for a complete account.”

Little applications? Comes in free? Microsoft Outlook comes as part of the MS Office Suite Home and Business that starts at $229 dollars or so.

It is completely clear to me that whoever wrote this article has no background in computers/technology and made comparisons by Googling/web searching.

This article is filled with wrong information and based on ones very limited opinion of two products. Based on what I have read it’s a Microsoft based person who seems to know very little about either product.

I will post my counter to this poorly written thing on my site if that helps. Makes no sense how this is even considered content?
