    I may be mistaken, but starting in 2009 SFAS(141R) was created to replace SFAS(141), the purchase method. SFAS(141R) is the Acquisition method which is in place now to account for new business acquistitions.

    I am writing a paper for an accounting class and I noticed this info was the opposite of what my textbook says. That’s not to say my book is right… it sucks that is why I’m on the internet haha

      Yes and SFAS in 2011 has new Sections for this .
