alot of this is crap that has been written, Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, not “considered” it IS part of the UK its like writing “Alabama is considered part of the USA”.

It’s worth knowing that in terms of population demographics, the North is actually about 50% Catholic and 50% Protestants, with more Catholics in both of the major cities, and paticularly along the border region

Wow, someone doesn’t like Northern Ireland much do they? My CATHOLIC Irish family came from County Tyrone (Strabane) which is now part of Northern Ireland. Seems as though “the Republic of Ireland” sold them out to the Brits so they could “keep their Irishness”. Blaming the victim type of thing. Britain invaded. The IRISH didn’t want them there so Ireland said, “here have this bit, up north there. if we give you this bit will you go the hell away and let us have our Republic? You sold them out and then claim yourself as Irishmen? Trying to sound as though being invaded, martial lawed by the Brits, and then say “they tend toward more British culture. Heard of Stockholm Syndrome. Your own country sells you out, you have to adapt or die LITERALLY, and then are snidely accused of becoming more “british”. HA! S

A load Republican clap trap. Are you afraid of being bombed? If your afraid of the truth write nothing it would be more honest. Why don’t you tell it was not the north that spilt Ireland it was the South (Irish free state now republic) Northern Ireland received Dominion status (last governor Earl Gray) It was dissolved by Edward Heath who was a no never mind prime minister of the other three parts of British Isles. He also never set foot there.
was a frequent visitor to cows regatta. That’s where he was when the yet to be explained Derry slaughter took place. This was neither supported by the Northern Ireland government (Brian Faulkner) Who even expressed his disbelieve that it could happen but old Teddy H needed a scape goat. He only acerbated the situation and emboldened the IRA. I doubt if he is mentioned in history books at all.
Just in passing the Dail Erin had 24 unionist elect. (where are they now) The north had 12 nationalist (how many are there now.) A lot more to say but am 82 years of age and have lived in Canada for42 of them.
