    Hi,

Sikhism is continuation of Christianity and I have proved it through my Youtube Videos. Sikh stands for a student and there is only in a million who is a true Sikh.

There are more similarities between Christianity and sikhism than differences.( Tu maat pita ham baarik tere. Tu mera pita tu hain mera mata.) So christ is the son of God. Why to disagree. Gurbani also states that a true guru and God is one and so is Christ, God the savior. ( Gur parmesar eko jaan )The book of psalms in the old testament is like shabads in SGGS in poem form. Also Christianity had influence on Islamism and Islamism could have influenced sikhism indirectly by Bhagat Kabir’s or Baba Farid’s writings or other Hindu saints or Guru’s writings.

That is true in a sense. Gurbani also puts Christian sayings in perspective. Christ is God, the son and savior. ( tu mast pita ham base in tere)( Gur parmesar
Eko jaan) So christ is the guru, the savior, the God. The book of psalms is like shabads from SGGß. Sikhism may have been influenced by Christianity through islamism.

It’s not that difficult. It begins with submission to God. Keep it simple. The principles of character and worship are the basics for both. The stumbling block is belief in Jesus as The Christ and savior of mankind.

Christianity may have influenced sikhism indirectly through Islamism. It agrees with Christ being the GOD, the savior, the son. ( tu maat pita ham baarik tere) So every human is son or daughter of God. Jesus is a saint, guru one with God. ( Gur parmesan eko jaan) The book of psalms is like shabads in SGGS, in praise of aatma, parmatma, satguru, saadh Sangat.

These are two different beleifs and to justify that they are similar by misquoting a few hymns without resorting to their deeper meaning in the context of the whole Sikh sripture is being very narrow minded. Why should one even look at similarties or differences?
One should just respect each others beleifs which have evlolved as Sikism teaches. One could also say that many of the Christian beleifs are taken at face value and have been forced upon people. The reason why Christianity is so widespread is because of missionaries who offer rewards and forcible conversion as well as imposition upon the conquered by the rulers icluding vast destruction of populations who opposed.Left to propagate itself it would not be so widespread. To impose your beleifs upon poor unsuspecting people by offering them better rewards is absolutely wrong.

Why would a follower of the supreme Guru even think of coping christian dogma ?They worship a dead saint.Yes,he is dead, yhey have his grave in kashmir, his bones are in,KASHMIR!! Jesus had a form, ate bread, and worshiped SatGuru, but he was not God,and onley manmukes and fools claim otherwise. We worship Waheguru and WaheGuru dwells amongst us in every place and manifests his presence in Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Who could ask for more? WaheGuru ji ki Khalsa,Whaheguru ji ki Fateh!!!!!

Ignorance can nevwr be hidden. Denial does not make a fact.
Bible is the most researched and studied Book in the world. Every time an attempt has been made to prove the Bible wrong, it has only proved it right. This goes with archeology, the scriptures and the resurrection.
I will pray for you as instructed by Jesus.
May the light shine on you and you know the truth.

Dear Abdullah R Singh. As a Sikh you should know we should not be criticising or belittling the beliefs of others. We are taught to respect other Religions as we do our own. I find your comments about “dead Saint” insulting and distasteful. Shame on you sir.

Please read the Bible before making such claims. Jesus rose from the dead. He is the way and the life. The guru did not come up with his claims until the 1600s and same with Islam, not until 800s AD. I died and passed over when I was young and I can tell you ghat it is Jesus sitting on the throne in the mountain. I was about to ask right when I got there and a knowing came over me that Jesus is Lord and perfect. I raced to go worship him and was sadly sent back and told it was not my time. Anyway, please find a Christian to explain it. Jesus is the Living God and part of the holy trinity. Bless you. You can also privately pray yo Jesus to reveal himself to you and he will. all the best.

Christians, people who have been saved by the blood of Jesus, are not saved by works, but only by believing, repenting and turning from sin and following God alone. Then from there they grow in a relationship with God and continue to follow Jesus’ teachings. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. That is why Jesus had to die, to suffer our punishment of our sin. Through this, only, could we be saved and go to heaven.

In many ways Sikhism and Christianity are very similar. We are both inherently peaceful belief systems. We are taught to be humble and love thy neighbour. Sikhs have very similar edicts to Christians 10 commandments. Sikhs must also lead good honest lives, working hard while keeping God foremost in the mind and give generously (at least 1/10th of earnings to charity)
However we differ in turn the other cheek. We are taught to fight oppression and defend the weak from injustice. “When all other means of righting a wrong have failed it is just and pious to raise the sword”. But only as a last resort and for defence only.

Im sorry, and please correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is we believe in the same God, same old testament, but religions and practices are different because of the profits and Jesus?….. if this is True why can’t we all just get along and Love and Worship God

Hello, thank you for this work,
I should however make a correction in your statement you made; you said ‘Christians try to attain salvation by following the teachings of Jesus from the Bible’, well for Christians, Salvation comes alone by placing your faith in Jesus (believing in Jesus and in the work He did in saving mankind), it is not by following Jesus’ teaching. However the teachings of Jesus are very important and should be followed.

A huge obstical for people wanting to follow Jesus but thag are in another culture and religion is that they would have to leave that culture behind and that is not true. You can be involved in any culture and even take part in religious traditions as long as it glorifies God-Jesus-the Holy Spirit. for instance Jews can eat certain foods, Jesus doesnt care. You could be muslim and pray with your head down in a mosque as long as you are speaking and praying to him. Jesus wants a relationship, not ownership. walk with him and talk with him and he will change your heart and mind. he is Amazing grace. He will reveal himself in ways you will know to be Truth. try talking with im for 30 days. as long as it’s in Faith, you can dare him, just talk with him but definitely see his words in red in the Bible. read outloud. Bless you.

The last point on Christianity is completely wrong and should be changed. We do not believe salvation comes through works or following the Bible. Our salvation was established through believing in Jesus Christ and what his death meant for our salvation. This is the greatest difference between the two religions.
