My take is that though the two terms Guarantee and Warranty are “contingent Contracts” (like Insurance), and are interchangeably used in practice, one essential difference lies in the identity of the person giving it. While a guarantee can be given either by a manufacturer / service provider OR A THIRD PARTY , a warranty can be provided ONLY by a manufacturer or the service provider. The simplest example is a Bank Guarantee (which is a third party assurance). No one speaks of a “Bank Warranty”, does one?

Bank guarantee is just a guarantee about the payment. It does not include on quality of products. It’s not a suitable example

Wow! I came here accidentally but thoroughly impressed going through some of the “differences”. Those explanations given are clear and authoritative with little space for doubt to the reader.Language is simple and the style is a little bit friendly.Nothing but to say” Simply Great”.
