Maestro and Roadmate are popular GPS products from Magellan which is known for producing both car navigation and handheld systems. When comparing the two GPS systems, one can come across only very slight differences.

First of all, let us look at the price of the two GPS units. The Magellan Roadmate is a bit costlier than the Magellan Maestro. While the Maestro units cost less than $100, the Roadmate price ranges between $100 and $300.

Both Maestro and Roadmate have many similar features like a touch screen. Both Maestro and Roadmate GPS come with a screen having a 5-inch width and a 3.5-inch height. Both have the features of Bluetooth facilities which enable people to make calls.

The Magellan Maestro has features of 2D/3D map perspective. The 3D perspective gives more details which gives an optimal navigation experience.
