The app has gained viral use after trends have risen within the app such as lip-synced songs, memes and comedy videos.

Founded in 2015, Triller is a video-sharing social networking service that allows users to create and share short videos and synchronize to music. Triller is owned by Sony Music, Warner Music, Proxima Media and other investors. The platform synchronizes the short-form videos using artificial intelligence technology. 

Compatible with Android and iOS, the app has various features such as auto-editing tools. The app allows users to record multiple takes using AI which are then compiled, creating a music video. Through the app, users can collaborate and even use custom filters and existing sounds.
