I am personally more a fan of Moto GP than Super Bike competition. Nevertheless, it is my opinion that this article exhibits a grossly unfair bias in favor of Moto GP. It presumes to speak of Super Bike in general while effectively ignoring FIM Super Bike (the international version), which has a very big following. There are many credible folks in the motorcycle racing business who would not deprecate Super Bike to the extent this writer did. For many fans, the fact that the bikes being used in Super Bike competition are similar to those that they can purchase is a factor that makes such racing more interesting. I think it would be preferable to make the distinction here on the basis that Moto GP and Super Bike are distinct classes of race competition with focus on the technical differences in the bikes as opposed to claimed aspects of prestige.

Note that there are numerous problems with the way the article is written. It is unnecessarily repetitive (even in the so called summary). By title, it claims to be a comparison of AMA and Moto GP; but that would be an apples and oranges situation. What it really compares are two classes of racing. In fact, the American Motorcyclist Association is an organization which is involved in many aspects of motorcycling in the U.S. besides racing. They do sanction racing events, but most certainly not limited to Super Bikes. (Indeed, AMA Supercross probably has a bigger following.)
