The base Taycan has a rear-wheel-drive powertrain and produces 402 horsepower. The top-of-the-line Taycan Turbo S has an all-wheel-drive powertrain and produces 750 horsepower. All Taycan models have a 93.4-kWh lithium-ion battery that provides an EPA-estimated range of up to 227 miles.

Engine Specs: The Audi e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan are both high-performance electric cars that share the same platform and powertrain. The e-tron GT has a dual-motor powertrain that produces 522 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque, while the Taycan has a dual-motor powertrain that produces between 402 and 469 horsepower in the base model and up to 750 horsepower in the top-of-the-line Turbo S model.

Battery and Range: The Audi e-tron GT standard variant achieves an estimated range of 238 miles as per EPA ratings, while the RS model has a slightly lower rating of 232 miles. Additionally, with the use of the standard 270-kW DC fast charger, the e-tron GT can recharge from 5% to 80% of its battery capacity in approximately 23 minutes.

All Taycan models come standard with a 270-kW DC fast charger that can charge the battery from 5% to 80% in about 22 minutes. It now preconditions the battery to a higher temperature, achieving a maximum 270 kWh charge at a higher state of charge. Range varies from 206 to 246 miles, depending on battery size and motors, with fast charging capabilities.

Performance: The Audi e-tron GT boasts a top speed of 155 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds with its RS variant, thanks to a more powerful dual-motor powertrain. The base variant is slightly slower, achieving 0 to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds.

The Taycan lineup offers impressive acceleration across its power trains, with performance improving as you move up the trim levels. The base variant can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, while the base Cross Turismo trim accomplishes it in 4.8 seconds. Other Taycan models range from 3.0 to 3.9 seconds for the zero-to-60 mph sprint, with the top Turbo S variants achieving incredible times of 2.6 and 2.7 seconds, respectively.

Interior and Comfort: Both vehicles offer a blend of luxury and functionality. The e-tron GT boasts features like Audi laser headlights, an optional carbon fiber roof, and a central 10.1-inch infotainment screen.

The Porsche Taycan’s infotainment display setup is feature-rich and screen-heavy. It features a 16.8-inch curved gauge display and two central touchscreens. The top 10.9-inch screen offers access to key functions, while the 8.4-inch touchscreen below handles climate control, battery status, navigation, and connectivity features. There’s an additional 10.9-inch touchscreen for the front-seat passenger and an optional 5.9-inch touchscreen in the rear for rear HVAC and seat heating control.
